The SISTA STRUT Breast Cancer Walk presented by UPSJobs.com and Papa Johns is coming to Louisville! Sista Strut raises awareness for breast cancer – specifically in African American women and will be held October 21, 2017 at Shawnee Park.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit:

  

Individual Registrations include a Sista Strut T-Shirt.  Team Member Registrations include a Sista Strut T-Shirt, a Backpack, and a Team Photo that can be found here after the event. A team can consist of 2+ people (no minimum or maximum).

$15 per individual / $20 per team member through 8/20

$20 per individual / $25 per team member 3/20 through 9/20

$25 per individual / $30 per team member 4/20 through 10/21

Pick up your t-shirts and materials at the Registration Tent starting at 8 am day of the event!

WHY WE STRUT__________________________

Did you know that African American women have a 41% higher death rate from breast cancer than white women? And, are more likely to be diagnosed before age 40?

That needs to change! Get involved with the Sista Strut and make a difference!The goal of Sista Strut is to heighten awareness about the issues of breast cancer in women of color, as well as provide information on community resources. Sista Strut recognizes the strength of survivors, their family and friends, heightens awareness, promotes early detection and the search for a cure.

When and where is Sista Strut? October 21, 2017 at Shawnee Park at 8:00am.

What if it rains?  Sista Strut will proceed rain or shine. Sista Strut registrations are non-refundable.

Where do the proceeds go?A portion of the proceeds will benefit Kentucky African-Americans Against Cancer.

Can I come to the radio station to register? No. We’ve organized Sista Strut registrations at various locations throughout the area. A list of onsite registration points will be published on this page when available.  What do the Sista Strut t-shirts look like?  Coming soon!
